Baldwin/Hastings makes their own filters. They are big in the truck industry. They make car filters too. For the money possibly the best auto oil filter made. Very close in quality to a Mobil 1 filter at half the price. Report Abuse

baldwin filter are excellent and they do have a car line but only certain places carry them you just have to look around for them
i havent seen any baldwin filters for cars, but i do know they do a lot for diesels in trucks. i would stick with a brand thats known well like fram or wix.
baldwin filters are used by fleets everywhere, they are a good filter, i believe they are the most used filters
28 years as a Auto tech and I've never heard of them but that doesn't mean there not good. Most filters are built by only a few companies in the world due to the expense of the building process and are built to the specs of whose buying the label put on the filter.
