MY VEHICLES ARE LOW MILEAGE (6000 MILES PER YEAR) MAX. 2003-TOYOTA CAMRY (4-CYL) %26amp; 2002 TOTOTA (6-CYL) 4-RUNNER. IS 12 MONTH TOO LONG ?? I USUALLY KEEP MY VEHICLES FOR 12 - 16 YEARS OR LONGER.AUTO-OIL: WHAT ARE THE RECOMMENDED MILEAGE AND TIME INTERVALS WHEN USING TOP QUALITY SYNTHETIC OIL (5w-30) ?
even if you use full synthetic oil it is still recommended to change your oil @ our near manufactures rec milage.full syn oil will not brake down as quickly as standered oil and offers better protection.AUTO-OIL: WHAT ARE THE RECOMMENDED MILEAGE AND TIME INTERVALS WHEN USING TOP QUALITY SYNTHETIC OIL (5w-30) ?
every 3000 miles or 3 months which ever comes first! don't listen to the hype of only changing every 15000 miles etc. ask any real Ase certified tech. if you want your cars to last a long time change it every 3000 miles or 3 months. I Myself change my oil every 1500 or 2 months to get the most life out of them
12 months isn't too long at all, backed by a good oil filter (IE not fram) and the engine gets run maybe 30 minutes running around a month or so..... should be fine. Toyotas wear low, and do great on mobil one.
You need to change the oil every 15,000 miles. But my mechanic said you have to change the filter every 10,000. I love synthetic oil. I never remember to change my oil every 3,000 miles
