Pulling the battery cable does not reset your oil life dude. Honda at one time had a red reset button in a fuse panel on the side of the dash, accessible with the drivers' door open. Not sure if they have changed that, but that was used in the late 90s, early 00s.If i change the oil on my 07 civic wich have an elect. feat. to check the quality of oil will it reset itself

I own a 07 Civic and actually just changed my oil today...





To reset the oil life percent back to 100% on your dash, do the following steps...





1. Start the engine





2. Using the SEL/RESET button on the left side of the steering wheel, press it until ';OIL LIFE'; shows up on the screen.





3. Press and hold the SEL/RESET button for 10 seconds or until the ';OIL LIFE'; starts to blink and a code will come up and blink along with it. You can release the SEL/RESET button.





4. Once again Press the SEL/RESET button for 5 seconds or until the screen shows 100% oil life.





Thats it, you are all set!
